Communications and Information Policy ProgrammeCIPP responds to access, governance and rights problems in a consistent, systematic and integrated way, addressing national and regional particularities in Asia, Africa and Latin America and ensuring a multi-directional dynamic between the national, global and the regional levels. This is achieved by providing research/analysis-based substantive insights and framings; facilitating movement building and cross-movement interaction; enhancing the individual and collective agency of people to defend human rights online and to transform lives at local levels; addressing the transforming effect of technology through alternate viewpoints and approaches; developing and building the capacity of civil society and other stakeholders to engage with internet issues and processes, including those related to policy; and advocating for favourable policy options and solutions at global, regional and national levels.

Women's Rights ProgrammeThe Women’s Rights Programme (WRP) works to strengthen the capacity of diverse women’s movements to have the confidence, skills and resources to influence the usage, development and decision-making of the internet. This is so that they are able to engage with it as a political space to challenge discriminatory norms, structures and practices, amplify their work for women’s rights and gender justice and respond to the barriers, that prevent them from benefiting from information and communication technologies (ICTs). Our work stems from recognition of the enormous potential of ICTs to strengthen social, political, cultural and economic development, and to advance the human rights of women and girls. WRP is uniquely located within both the internet rights and women's rights movements.

FinanceThe finance team is responsible for maintaining the integrity of APC’s finances. We do this by ensuring that we have appropriate tools and systems, by ensuring that income and expenditure are recorded in line with budgets and secured funding, and by adhering to the organisation’s financial policies and procedures. Together with the executive and operations directors, the finance team ensures that APC complies with its financial and statutory responsibilities, including the output of independently audited financial statements (based on internationally agreed accounting principles), both annually and as required for specific grant agreements. The finance team submits reports and statutory forms regularly to the board of directors and management, donor partners, and various state and federal departments.
