Mr. Akram Hossain Chowdhury MP, Advisor of Bangladesh Working Group for World Congress on ICT for Development (BGWCID) meets Architect Yeafesh Osman, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology on 23 March 2009 at 4:45 pm.
At first Mr. Akram Hossain Chowdhury MP, Advisor of BGWCID briefed the Honorable Minsiter regarding WCID and Bangladesh Working Group. On bahelf of BGWCID, Professor Dr Syed Akhter Hossain gave an overview of the formation and purpose of the working group in reference to communication with Professor Y X Zhong of WCID2009 China. During the presentation, Dr Hossain also urged the Honorable Minister to patronize the movement to represent Bangladesh in WCID2009 to be held in China from September 2-4, 2009. The committee also urged the Honorable Minister to facilitate National Congress along with the close co-operation of the Ministry in participation at WCID2009.
The Honorable Minister showed his interest and expressed his concern on the movement of BGWCID. He also assured to provide all sorts of cooperation on behalf of the Ministry. He also agreed to extend his support in all sphere for the better facilitation of National Congress.
Mr AHM Bazlur Rahman, CEO, Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC), Mr M A Haque Anu, Assistant Editor and Former President, Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF) were also present. The meeting was held in a very befitting manner.
