Enfrentar las rupturas: cómo podemos construir movimientos feministas más fuertes en África

Para que nuestros movimientos prosperen no sólo necesitamos encontrarnos unas a otras sino también que estas conexiones se sostengan intencionalmente. Partiendo de nuestras reflexiones sobre este tema, ahondamos nuestras conversaciones acerca de los factores que provocan rupturas y pensamos cómo podríamos trabajar para que una ruptura no se convierta en la destrucción de todo un movimiento.

La violencia de género es un proceso sistemático en el que las agresiones físicas suelen ser un último eslabón. Las personas violentadas en sus propias casas viven el terror como un hecho cotidiano. El acceso a la información y a la Justicia es clave para que haya algún tipo de medida de protección para ellas.

After reading the principles and researching the context that made this framework necessary, each student chose one principle that particularly resonated with them and wrote their own piece inspired by it.

In order for our movements to be successful, not only do we have to find each other, but these connections have to be sustained with intention. Within our movements, we are faced with internal challenges because every movement is founded on relationships, and relationships are vulnerable to all kinds of challenges. From our reflections in this regard, we delved into discussions about the factors that cause ruptures within our movements, and brainstormed how we could work to ensure that a rupture does not become the destruction of the entire movement.
