APC at the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum

The Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (AprIGF) is one of the key regional initiatives on internet governance. By adopting the multistakeholder approach as its core principle, it serves as a platform for discussion, exchange and collaboration at a regional level and also, where possible, to aggregate national IGF discussions, ultimately advancing internet governance development in the Asia Pacific region.

This year will be a hybrid event in Brisbane, Australia, from 28 to 31 August. APC staff and members are hosting and involved in key sessions. 

On 29 August, from 14:00 to 15:00 AEST, APC will be speaking at the session Sustainability of Complementary Connectivity Initiatives, organised by the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA).

On 30 August, from 9:00 to 10:00 AEST, APC will co-host with Digital Empowerment Foundation and the Council for Social and Digital Development a session titled Digital Environmental Sustainability through Circular Economy and Sustainable Design Solutions. That same day, from 11:30 to 12:30 AEST, APC will host the session A Framework for Developing Gender-responsive Cybersecurity Policy

Also on 30 August, time to be confirmed, APC will be moderating the session Unpacking Stakeholder Engagement with the Private Sector, organised by the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre.

On 31 August, from 11:30 to 12:30, APC will be speaking at the session Connecting Communities: Community Radio for Connectivity, Inclusion, Digital Rights, and Freedom of Expression, organised by Jadeite Solutions Pvt. Ltd and Radio Bulbul.
