Biography

Risper is passionate about community development through socio economic empowerment. She provided gender support in Learning Lions Turkana through mainstreaming of gender in the program and pioneered Techdada initiative in Turkana where women and girls are educated, equipped and empowered to become innovators and agents of change in the 21​st​ century. She has been involved in amplifying women voices through capacity building of women leaders in Kibera slums on ICTs and governance. She also has experience at mental health space as the campus coordinator where she spearheaded the mainstreaming of Amazing Minds Africa (AMA) model in four universities in Kenya. Her main focus is on community capacity development, community research, stakeholder engagement and public participation in policy making. Risper holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Development from Kenyatta University.
