2015 marks the 10th anniversary of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). It is also the anniversary of a multistakeholder experiment that helped bring the WSIS to a successful conclusion: the Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG). This book reflects on WGIG’s procedural and substantive contributions to the evolving global Internet governance dialogue and institutional ecosystem.

This book,  written by former WGIG members and others who played key roles in the debates on the WGIG and WSIS, reflects on the WGIG’s procedural and substantive contributions to the evolving global internet governance dialogue and institutional ecosystem.

This submission was developed as a joint effort of a diverse number of civil society groups that participated in a WSIS+10 civil society coordination event that took place on October 14 and 15 in New York, which APC co-organised.

The Association for Progressive Communications (APC), the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), the Internet Democracy Project, and the Internet Society are co-organising a side event for non-governmental stakeholders to share and exchange their views and priorities with governments on WSIS+10 in a dynamic, interactive setting.
