Kilifi Digital Villages (Kenya)

What is the project about?

Kilifi Digital Villages works on improving access to information and specifically educational resources to rural, underpriviledged, marginalised communities of the Kilifi North Constituency in Kenya. In order to do so, community network nodes will be set up in village public schools across the constituency. The youth from the villages will also be trained to be net wardens, whose mandate is to maintain and extend the local network, while Dunia Moja Network ensures the backhaul is stable and monitors usage to dynamically increase bandwidth where needed.
