Carla Barbosa Oliveira

Carla Vitoria is the subgrants coordinator for the Safety for Voices team. She holds a MA in Political Science and a BA in Law both by the University of São Paulo. Prior to joining APC, she worked at Front Line Defenders, supporting at-risk human rights defenders in Africa and Latin America. She has also worked with the Landless Workers Movement (MST) and Sempreviva Feminist Organization (SOF) in Brazil. 

Purpose of position

The subgrants coordinator will be responsible for managing the sub-grants and rapid response grants under APC’s SDFHS project. This includes managing the communications and visibility around subgrants, developing vetting procedures and selection criteria of grantees, developing evaluation procedures under the supervision of director of operations and consortium manager, convening evaluation committees on reception of applications, maintaining records and documentation, coordinating with grantees, ensuring compliance with any reporting requirements and procedures, and developing reports and assessments for the overall project report. The subgrants coordinator will work closely with the consortium manager and APC finance team.
