Biography

Solomon is an enterprising ICT professional with a degree in Information Technology from Islamic University Uganda and Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Gulu University. In a bid to improve his skills in ICT Solomon added the following courses; CISCO Certificate of Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) from Islamic University in Uganda, Solar PV Installation at BOSCO-Uganda (Creec), Building Community Wireless Network (ISOC).

Solomon’s professional growth started as I.T Assistant at Gulu District Local Government, I.T/Logistic Assistant at Bladina Safety and Wares Limited and with BOSCO-Uganda from May 2013, as Project Assistant responsible for Trainings at all ICT sites in Northern Uganda, and later promoted to Technical Manager and currently working as Technical Manager since June 2018.

Solomon has managed BOSCO’s LAN/WAN infrastructures like Wireless Point to Point connection, Gateway, routers, modems, switches, network radios, troubleshooting network and administering a Microsoft Windows based network (LAN) and Windows servers and domain, Linux servers, Virtual Machine servers, network monitoring and graphing servers, Thin client’s server, configuring TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS, Skill of cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure) Datahub, Provision of IT desktop and remote support, Installation of Wireless/LAN connectivity, maintenance and administration, Network Infrastructure development, setting up antivirus, training of technical staffs.
