Biography

Mama Sigcau is one of the original Zenzeleni Mankosi Cooperative directors. She has been involved in Zenzeleni through its multiple phases over the last seven years. She is one of the pillars in the Mankosi community and of the Zenzeleni community network. In her own words: "l am Gladies Nontsokolo Sigcau. The headman's wife. I stay here at Mankosi. I am 51 years old. I passed my grade 11 in 1987. I am here in Zenzeleni about seven years. My aim to be here in Zenzeleni is to change the future of our children to be better and also the community to have a better life. My dream is to see Zenzeleni connecting all the Eastern Cape."
