Web streaming creates solidarity among the labour movement

In December 2010, APC member LaborNet held a conference at the University of San Francisco, which demonstrated how technology can be used by trade unions and the labor movement to gain access to information to strengthen their cause. Participants at the conference learned more on how live streaming channels can be used locally, regionally and internationally to channel to programme their rallies, educational meetings and solidarity events. Special solidarity was also given to Colombian Coca Cola workers, in their campaign to fight the brutal repression and murders of at least ten SINALTRAINAL union leaders.
