Environmental justice
The latest edition of ICT Update has just been published. This edition’s theme is ‘Urban Agriculture’.
A working group of APC members aims to bring environment higher on the ICT policy priorities of global civil society. Information and communication technologies are a powerful tool for civil society protecting environment. There are so many different caucuses and groups and everyone leads their own WSIS process. It’s a pity that civil society couldn’t find its way to consolidation for stronger influence on the process. As a result such an important issues as environmental sustainability, impact of the ICTs on the human health, unification of standards in different parts of the world, different systems...
Just curious whether environmental sustainability and ICTs is taking place somewhere in the WSIS docs at all ;-) It will be good to know if apart from BlueLink, whether there are other NGOs interested to stand up for the issue of environmental sustainability in Tunis.
