Biography

Karel lives between Portugal and Czech Republic and is a sociologist by profession. He has been with APC since 2004 and has been in charge of a number of APC initiatives that promote the strategic use of ICTs, such as the Chris Nicol FLOSS prize and Web 2.0 and community wireless networks.

 

Purpose of position

To strengthen the APC community network by facilitating participation, collaboration and knowledge sharing, developing the platforms and tools needed to support these processes, recruiting new members and supporting APC governance processes.
