Thiago Novaes is a researcher with a PhD in Social Anthropology. His experience encompasses over twenty years of investigation, practice and outreach of free and community radios in Brazil and overseas. Novaes was involved in the implementation of the Brazilian digital system for interactive television and today is focused on the imminent switchover of analog radio to digital technologies, publishing articles to participate and encourage public debate. At APC, he supports the team with portuguese translations and revisions, with highlights: the review of "Learning Lessons from the NETMundial" and the website content of the "African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms".
