The Soot Mapping Project uses citizen science methodologies and FLOSS technology to monitor air pollution. Open Culture Fund (OCF), based in Taiwan and also a member of APC, provided technical support and donated equipment, such as this Raspberry Pi-based air quality monitor. These monitors were deployed during the implementation of the project to collect PM 2.5 and temperature readings.
