Gayatri Khandhadai is a lawyer with a background in international law and human rights, international and regional human rights mechanisms, research, and advocacy. She previously worked with national and regional human rights groups, focusing on freedom of expression. She is the Project Coordinator for IMPACT – India, Malaysia, Pakistan Advocacy for Change through Technology with the Association for Progressive Communications. Her current focus is on digital rights in Asia with specific emphasis on freedoms of expression, assembly and association on the internet.
Purpose of position
Provide overall implementation of the IMPACT project, including supervision of the country team leaders, making sure that project planning and implementation of plans and reporting to the donor are all on track, representing APC and the project as needed, and providing administrative support to the project, including organising meetings and maintaining project records. Additionally, the project coordinator will be responsible for coordination of the media and communication activities and outputs of the project and supervising the project assistant.
