Description
Step 2 of APC’s strategic planning process are regional online meetings where members will discuss results of the strategic planning survey. Also on the agenda are regional initiatives, collaboration and APC membership plans. Regional online meetings (Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and Caribbean and North America) are being held simultaneously from August 6-17. The discussion, recommendations and conclusions of these online meetings along with the survey results will be the basis for the first draft of APC’s strategic plan 2013-2016 which will be presented and discussed at the APC Board meeting on September 1-3.

Signing into the meeting, and sharing of short informal updates with one another.

Discussion of member’s experiences, achievements and challenges related to the 2009-12 KRAs.
Topic 3.2 Looking Back: Implementation of 2009-12 plan by APC
Discussion of APC’s achievements and challenges related to the 2009-12 KRAs.
Topic 4.1 Moving Ahead: Future strategic priorities
Discussion of 2013-16 KRAs with particular emphasis on specific challenges and opportunities in the region.
Topic 4.2 Moving Ahead: APC-wide activities
Discussion of 2013-16 APC-wide activities with particular emphasis on specific challenges and opportunities in the region.
Topic 5. Regional initiatives, collaboration, partnerships and potential members
Members to propose collaboration among members in the region, discuss regional initiatives, partners, and opportunities and identify potential APC members, both organisational and individual members (which the board approved in January and which will soon be formalised).
Topic 6. Any other matters
Matters or questions that members or staff want to raise during the meeting.

During July 2012 the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) conducted an online survey of its Board, Council members, staff and some partner organisations as the first step in the 2013-2016 Strategic Planning process.
