Bobby began his career in technology working with various non-profit organisations setting up local area networks prior to the entry of the internet in the Philippines. In 1998, he became a scholar of the Internet Society and attended the Networking Training Workshop for Countries in the Early Stages of Internet Development in Switzerland. He has worked with various organisations providing capacity/capability building in the areas of internet privacy and safety, process audit and workflow design. He is also an Adult Learning practitioner.
Purpose of position
The Southeast Asia network coordinator is tasked to ensure that activities related to building and and supporting a network of Southeast Asian digital rights defenders are effectively facilitated and well coordinated.
