Over 80 people engaged in wildly different kinds of feminist activism across the world gathered together in Malaysia in early October, 2017, to discuss what does it mean to build movements around feminist principles, women’s rights, sexuality and related issues in the digital age. Because there is a lot that we can do as feminist activists, in this edition GenderIT.org takes a peek at the Making a Feminist Internet meeting.

For the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (25 November-10 December), Take Back the Tech! wants to look back (and forward) at the movement to end gender-based violence – to digitise and preserve our memories and examine them for lessons we can use now and in the future.

The Arid Lands Information Network (ALIN) was able to use the opportunity of participating in the Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa 2017 to learn from others, and also to share its experiences in promoting internet access in Kenya.
