It strongly supports the establishment of a new special rapporteur but condemns the softening of language due to pressure from Five Eyes countries.
APC and Privacy International along with a global coalition of organisations dedicated to promoting and defending the rights to privacy and freedom of expression contacted state missions to the UN to support a resolution, including a new Special Rapporteur, on the right to privacy in the digital age.
