IGF2018
During the 2018 IGF in Paris, the contribution of emerging technologies towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was highlighted.
In this session, participants analysed the evolution of the Connecting and Enabling the Next Billion(s) process and showcased successful initiatives, as well as barriers and challenges to the half of the world that is still offline.
We would like to see the IGF focus on the internet in relation to poverty and discrimination. Access is growing, but to ensure that it is inclusive we need to focus on those people who are still left behind.
