Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)
Sida is a government agency working on behalf of the Swedish parliament and government, with the mission to reduce poverty in the world. Through their work and in cooperation with others, they contribute to implementing Sweden’s Policy for Global Development (PGU). They carry out enhanced development cooperation with a total of 35 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. The selection of cooperation countries are based on political decisions made by the Swedish government.

This new preliminary report presents findings of a study that sought to establish the impact of a national identity card system in Uganda (commonly known as “Ndaga Muntu”) on people’s economic, social and cultural Rights (ESCRs), in relation to the state's obligation to provide services.
APC's participation will focus on highlighting strategies to counter gender-based violence online, discussing the intersections between technology, the environment and the exercise of human rights, debating the impact of COVID-19 on human rights, and promoting meaningful internet access.
