Strategic use of the internet
The actions captured in this report reflect the energy, diversity and growth of the APC network. New members AlterMundi, from Argentina, Point of View, from India, Rhizomatica, from Mexico, Social Media Exchange (SMEX), from Lebanon, and Zenzeleni Networks, from South Africa, have added to the richness of the APC community and the breadth of our reach.
The week long Kano Digital Summer Institute (KDSI) for young women has successfully come to an end with a closing ceremony where the instructors, organizers, associates, trainees, their relations, other stakeholders and the media were present. The summer training has introduced the young women trainees into various important ICT skills aimed at serving as empowerment mechanism to the young ladies.
Palestinian NGO 7amleh – Arab Center for Social Media Advancement focuses on improving the skills and capacities of Palestinian and Arab civil society through training on social media activism skills and methodologies. Today we proudly welcome them as the latest addition to the APC network.
