RITS is a private, autonomous, non-profit organization founded in 1997, whose mission is to foster and support the strategic use of ICTs by civil society organizations and social movements and work for the democratization of ICTs in the local and global level, developing projects focused in the use of information and communication technology for the human development and participating in the proposal, discussions and building of policies in this area.

RITS is a private, autonomous, non-profit organization founded in 1997, whose mission is to serve as a virtual network of information focused on strengthening civil society organizations and the social movement. Fortering and supporting the exchange of information, knowledge and technical resources
amongst organizations and social movements is the key to accomplishing this mission. Furthermore, RITS seeks to promote the interaction of initiatives and projects through effective use of information and communication technologies (ICTs), particularly the internet.
