The fifty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 4 to 15 March 2013 under the theme “Elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls.” The APC Women’s Rights Programme has a full agenda at the event as part of its advocacy efforts supporting women’s and internet rights.

The 2012 TBTT campaign featured 16 stories for 16 days. Each of them presented a different way that ICTs affect the lives of women around the world. This GenderIT.org edition, editorialized by Françoise Mukuku from the Democratic Republic of Congo, reflects on some of the issues emerged from these stories of survivor and courage.
APC’s Connect Your Rights campaign is teaming up with the global campaign Take Back The Tech – fighting violence against women – on its 12th day of action (from 16).
