Locking up cyberspace will lead to undemocratic elections in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (Bytes for All) – The government of Pakistan currently has plans to filter the internet, which will affect freedom of expression, speech and opinion in the country. Bytes for All (BFA) fears the internet will be further restricted as the 2013 general elections approach. BFA has issued a public statement which calls on the UN Human Rights council to take note of the issue and requests that international companies refrain from submitting bids for the proposed project.
