Green Spider Foundation / Zöld Pók Alapítvány

Green Spider provides web services for the social movements in Hungary, especially those working in the field of environment, social justice, ecopolitics and globalisation. We focus on networking the actors of the local scene with each other and international partners, exploiting the potentials of the strategic use of Internet. Our aim is to enhance the information flow between the nodes and to provide infrastructure. We bring a focus of ICT related issues into the discussion and work with partners on relevant projects. These include free software (lobbying against software patents, developing applications, localisation of Linux distributions…), security and privacy (awareness raising and providing know-how…) and independent media production (Indymedia, social networking…).
