Technology, and ICTs in particular have an impact upon work, workers and the workplace. This thematic term tackles the nature and extent of the impact upon levels of employment, skills development and working life. Call centres, ICT-enabled globally-distributed production, ICT-enabled outsourcing of work and telework, the ICT use by trade unions worldwide and the use of ICTs for the training of workers are some of the issues that labour and ICTs explores.
