The personal finance website mint.com recently released an article on open source alternatives to popular software applications.

These include Open Office (a word processor), Trend HouseCall (an antivirus program) and Wix (a website building application).

And the best part? They’re all FREE. Clearly these guys do not understand capitalism.

The promotion of free and open source technologies is the guiding principle of Theme Four of APC’s Internet Rights Charter.
