This section is a space where APC's staff, members and readers can open up conversations on topics that are of interest for the ICT community. It is a space where authors get to be themselves – sometimes to express opinions and challenge the readers on issues and topics that are close to them, sometimes to share their personal experience on an event or a current debate. Last week in Barcelona, APC brought together activists, transformative techies, human rights defenders and academics from across the globe for our 12th tri-annual member meeting at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (BarcelonaTech UPC).
About 100 people from around the world, representing different cultures and traditions, were brought together to talk about their issues and challenges at the same platform provided by the Association for Progressive Communications on 1-9 June 2014 in Barcelona, Spain.
