At a presentation at APC's national ICT policy workshop currently going on in London, I was shocked to see a map in a presentation by Russell Southwood which shows how poorly connected Africa is with submarine internet fibre.

it as wallpaper to your computer and be reminded on a daily basis about this outrageous situation. If you feel insensed and want to do something about it, check out APC's Fibre for Africa Site which is full of resources on the issues on affordable international bandwidth for Africa and get involved in the Eassy Campaign.
